Papagayo in Lanzarote is a beautiful crescent of white sand sheltered by rugged cliffs. The beach is nestled within the Ajaches Nature Reserve, an area filled with volcanic hills on the southern tip of the island.
Due to its stunning beauty, the beach can get quite crowded during the high season, especially with visitors from the nearby resort of Playa Blanca. Despite the crowds, Papagayo is still an excellent spot for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling, all while enjoying views of the nearby island of Fuerteventura. The beach is also a perfect place to watch the sunset.
